Cherry Blossoms
Simple scribble brush strokes make up the haphazard tree while shades of green scatter the mountain top. I mixed colors ranging from lime green to army green to create the dynamic mountainside.
Skiing
This piece was a big step outside my comfort zone as I rarely paint winter pieces and never paint people, but I knew that if I stuck to the minimalistic painterly style I have been using for this collection I would create the vision stuck in my head.
Pumpkin Patch
In this piece, pumpkins sprinkle the mountainside asHalloween approaches and the children prepare for trick or treating. I loved making these cute little pumpkins and the more I just let the paintbrush scribble away the cuter they became.
Lavender Field
This piece was the initial inspiration for the Seasons of the Mountain Collection. The simple lines and vibrant colors of this painterly watercolor mountain seemed so simply pretty that I wanted to make more… And there the collection was created.
Watching the Sea
With relentless waves crashing against the shore and clouds that cover every inch of the sky, the woman is watching a storm in the making, her hair flying behind her. The lighthouse stands dutifully on the other shore, trying to light the way for any ships lost at sea.
Violet Mountain
Otherworldly colors suggest these mountains stand in a world unlike our own, the melting ice caps of the mountain revealing a plethora of shimmering purple gems. The ocean below reflects the magnificent sweeping sky above.
Wisp
The two-toned hills hold the sky down as the wind seems to whisk it away. Lavender skies sweep in from the right, overtaking the typical shades of a blue sky. Launching from the hilltop a flock of birds could soar through the colorful sky, embracing the beauty as they fly.
Little Moon
The mountains suggest this scene lies in a foreign world where mountains come in more whimsical shades. The sweeping upturned sky fills the world with a sense of magnificence and wonder, the little moon seems to be a reminder of home.

Color Choice as an Artist
Serra Isabella, a self-taught painter, has been learning the art of painting for roughly two years, facing challenges particularly with color choice, tone, and consistency. After studying color theory in a painting class, she realized that superior paint quality and intentional consideration of color schemes would enhance her artwork. Faced with insecurities, they now aim to explore color palettes more attentively, establish her color choices before painting, and remember that even admired artists started as beginners.
